Interactive Role-Playing Simulations
Interactive, game-based simulations and role-playing activities (in person and online) help participants practice intentional listening, humility and teamwork in meaningful scenarios.
Facilitator's Toolkit for the Pluralism Playset
For educators who've wanted to explore gamified dialogue techniques, this program offers three different playdecks accompanied by digital and printable materials preparing facilitators to choose the appropriate game for their purposes. Learn how to recruit diverse participants, stage a productive and inclusive event, respond to hot moments, introduce the activity and evaluate results.
Audience: Student organization leaders, resident advisers, graduate student instructors, faculty members, student-facing staff, chaplains and campus ministry leaders, civic-engagement staff, and community partners.
Interactive Role Playing Simulations to Promote Civil Discourse
A publicly accessible, dialogue-centered catalog of simulations intentionally designed to advance civil discourse among U-M students, K-12 learners, higher education partners, and community organizations. Examples may include campus-community crisis response, difficult conversations within teams and public meetings involving contested local decisions. The interactive role-playing simulations will capture timely, real-world scenarios requiring constructive dialogue across differences.
Audience: U-M students, faculty, and staff; students in other educational settings, including higher education and K-12; and non-student community members.
